Flamingo Lazeaway Club Branding

I'm excited to share my work for The Flamingo Lazeaway Club located in the recently revamped historic Flamingo Resort in Santa Rosa, California.

The Flamingo Resort had become a little dated and not utilized to its full potential. As part of this, the on-property restaurant needed a new brand and concept to help draw both hotel guests and locals in.

Working with ownership, the name “Lazeaway Club” was developed to evoke the feeling they aimed to create in the space. The story of Fernando, the world’s most interesting bird was developed, and the restaurant would be his home turned into a clubhouse.

The menu was California-Pacific inspired, so imagery and patterns from Southeast Asia, the Pacific, and California were utilized to create a “scrapbook” of Fernando’s adventures.

The result is a playful and approachable brand and vibe that evoke the inclusive and adventurous spirit of Fernando.
